Bombing does not: “Protect Innocent People”: The War on Libya Blatantly Violates International Law

”The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” (Albert Camus,1930-1960.)

The letter (below) has been sent by the British Deputy Prime Minister of the coalition, Conservative-Liberal Democrat government, Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, to his fast dwindling political followers.

Here are some thoughts in response, which have been put to him. The politically attuned should not hold their breath for a response.

A “no-fly zone” is another oxymoron, a total contradiction in terms. It means that Colonel Quaddafi’s “brutal, savage and unacceptable treatment”, has been replaced by our “brutal, savage and unacceptable treatment, using depleted uranium (i.e., nuclear waste) weapons and blowing Libyan people to bits in their uncounted numbers. (“It is not productive” to count coalition deaths as US., Generals, led by General Mark Kimmit have reiterated.)

The region and peoples will become another Falluja, with the yet-to-be-conceived, even, born with deformities, often making them unrecognisable as human infants. Headless, limbless, organs on the outside of the body, one cyclops eye, no eyes, no brain. Reality, witnessed by the writer over many years.

Arm twisting at the UN., and of the Arab League is also a well worn path. We have been there before. When Yemen voted against bombing Iraq in 1991 – the US Ambassador at the UN., told his Yemeni counterpart, that it was :” the most expensive vote you have ever made” – and cancelled seventy million$s worth of aid to Yemen.

Bombing people does not: “protect innocent people” and: “uphold universal human rights.” This is Orwell-speak.

There is also much evidence that a large part of this “revolution” has been fomented from outside, with moneys not a million miles from Washington, by Libyan long time exiles. Shades of Iraq and Ahmed Chalabi, Iyad Allawi and “Curveball” – Mr Janabi. And a fine mess that got Britian, America and Iraq into.

Prime Minister David Cameron and yourself, with respect, have morphed amazingly quickly into the despised potential war criminal, Tony Blair. It is the: “right approach”, you both sing from the same hymn sheet. Blair said, on the eve of the holocaust which Iraq has become: “I know I’m right, I know I’m right …” The ruins of Mesapotamia, the five million orphans, one and a half million dead, four million refugees inside and outside the country, the million widows, have proved him about as wrong as it is possible to be.

Already there are reports of forty five deaths – given the blitzkrieg unleashed, surely a massive under-guestimate – with three hospitals hit. Did not Britain and America call thrity tragic deaths in Benghazi, a “massacre”?

What might be the “right approach”, for the UN., an organisation: “avowed the save succeeding generations from the scourge of war”, would be to have possibly sent in (genuine) UN., Peacekeepers, until the situation stabilizes. As no doubt intended, it is now too late, with another war of aggression raging. the: “supreme international crime”, which is the invasion of a sovereign state, which poses this country, France, or America, no threat.

Incidentally, Britain has let its own citizens die, terribly in Iraq and other countries, because we “do not negotiate with terrorists.” Yet your government advocates, with the US., arming insurgents, to overthrow a legitimate, sovereign government. Illegal. Further, the crowd control methods now so decried by you and your colleagues, the weapons from the air, and even the training, has been a massive earner for the UK.

The attack from the East of the country, where we are “supporting the rebels”, according to Sir Andrew Green, former Ambassador to Saudia Arabia and Syria – who also points out that most of the oil wealth and installations are in the east of the country. (Daily Mail, 19th March, 2011.)

It is astonishing that as a father, you can argue for this course. You have clearly never stood by a hospital bed in a war zone and seen the ravage just one bullet, or one missile, can do the the body of a child or an adult. A friend in Libya has already witnessed children vomiting in terror at you onslaught. The more moral and peaceful world the Liberal Democrats have said they stood for died on the vote, two nights ago.

Libya has the ninth largest oil reserves on earth. As Iraq, and as the desire for the vital resources through Afghanistan, no one with half a brain does not believe your concern for humanity is the real reason. There were no calls from your Party, or the Conservatives, for “no fly zones” of any hue, or for restraint, in “Operation Cast Lead” (Christmas-New Year 2008-2009) as Israel bombarded the people of Gaza, caught, like “fish in a barrel”, to use a term about wanton slaughter, from another US General. That certainly looked like “brutal, savage and unacceptable” treatment, to most observers.

Last July, when you became acting Prime Minister when David Cameron was away, you said, in an exchange with Jack Straw, the previous Labour Foreign Secretary:

“Perhaps one day you could account for your role in the most disastrous decision of all, which is the illegal invasion of Iraq.” (Sky News 21st July 2010.)

This is written on the eighth anniversary of the beginning of that illegal invasion. The invasion George W. Bush declared a “Crusade.” As you embark on the course of decimating another ancient Islamic land, for oil – one with an even smaller population than Iraq – another “Crusade”, to install another compliant puppet regime, I can only say, shame on you all.

Dear … ,

As you will have seen in the news our coalition government has successfully led efforts in the UN Security Council to agree a ‘no-fly zone’ across Libya.

Colonel Gaddafi’s treatment of his own people has been brutal, savage and wholly unacceptable. We have worked with Libya’s regional neighbours, especially the Arab League, and countries across the globe, to secure a resolution in UN Security Council. This resolution will allow us to act lawfully in deploying our forces to up-hold a ‘no-fly zone’ in Libya.

The Prime Minister gave a statement yesterday, which you can read here. And on Monday we will have a full debate in the House of Commons, followed by a vote. In addition we will be publishing a summary of the legal advice of the Attorney-General.

That is the right approach. This is a coalition government that will act decisively to protect innocent lives and uphold universal human rights. But one which will do so working with, not against, international law and the international community.

Best wishes,

Nick Clegg MP

Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Liberal Democrats

As Radiation Now 400 Times Normal 40 km From Fukushima, A Closer Look At The Three Most Dangerous Radioactive Isotopes

With much confusion over just which radioactive isotopes are considered dangerous following the Fukushima explosions, Reuters has compiled a handy overview of the key actors: iodine-131, caesium-134 and caesium-137. For the time being only the far more inert and shorter half-life elements such as Xenon have been dispersed globally, while the more dangerous isotopes have been relatively localized, and their dispersion is limited to wind direction.  Furthermore, metrics such as halflife are relatively irrelevant for now since the release of radiation continues mostly unabated thereby producing a constant source of freshly radioactive substances.

This is all the more validated by the just released NHK data indicating a surge in radioactivity as far away as 40 kms from the plant: “Japan’s science ministry says radiation exceeding 400 times the normal level was detected in soil about 40 kilometers from the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The ministry surveyed radioactive substances in soil about 5 centimeters below the surface at roadsides on Monday. The ministry found 43,000 becquerels of radioactive iodine-131 per kilogram of soil, and 4,700 becquerels of radioactive cesium-137 per kilogram about 40 kilometers west-northwest of the plant. Gunma University Professor Keigo Endo says radiation released by the iodine is 430 times the level normally detected in soil in Japan and that released by the cesium is 47 times the norm.”

From Reuters:

Experts are most worried about three radioactive substances — iodine-131, caesium-134 and caesium-137 — all of which can cause various types of cancer years later.

Caesium-137 is of particular concern as it can stay in the environment and potentially cause havoc for hundreds of years. It takes 30 years for this contaminant to lose its power by half — what experts refer to as a “half life”.

At this rate, it would take at least 240 years for the contaminant to exhaust all its radioactivity.

“Caesium-137 can last for hundreds of years. If exposed, one can get spasms, involuntary muscular contractions and may lose the ability to walk. It also causes infertility. High doses will also damage a person’s DNA and cause cancer later,” said Lee Tin-lap, an associate professor at the Chinese University’s School of Biomedical Sciences in Hong Kong.

But a few experts stressed there was no need for panic yet.

Levels of caesium-137 detected in spinach in Japan over the weekend stood at an average of 350 becquerels per kilogram, well below the European Union’s limit of 1,000 becquerels for dairy produce and 1,250 for all other food items.

“Becquerels are like atoms,” said Pradip Deb, senior lecturer in Medical Radiations at the School of Medical Sciences, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.

“A litre of milk has billions and billions of atoms … and this is just 350.”

Caesium-134 has a half-life of 2 years, which will take about 20 years for it to become harmless.

The radioactive spill has prompted food checks in the Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, Singapore and Malaysia, with Taiwan’s government extending surveillance to include even electronics and tech items, chemicals and machinery. In addition to iodine and caesium, Thailand is also looking out for Strontium 90.

Milk samples in Japan, however, have been found to contain an average of 1,210 becquerels of iodine-131 per kilogram, well over the limit of 500 becquerels imposed in the EU.

Japanese spinach has also been found with an average of 10,450 becquerels of iodine-131 per kilogram, more than 5 times the EU limit.

One mitigating factor though is that iodine-131 has a half life of 8 days, which means it will take 80 days to lose all its radioactivity — assuming there is no fresh radioactive spillage.

“You can’t control radiation. It’s already there, but you can take preventive action (by not consuming any radioactive food that is tainted with iodine-131 for 80 days),” Deb said.

Radioactive material is carried by tiny moisture droplets in the air. It can then be directly inhaled into the lungs, get washed down by rain into the sea and into soil and eventually contaminate crops, marine life and drinking water.

Radioactive substances are dangerous because they can cause changes or mutations in DNA, which may then go on to cause cancer. While the human body can repair DNA changes or damage, a person is only safe if the repair process happens faster than the time it takes for the damaged or mutated DNA material to replicate.

Experts agree that children and fetuses are most at risk because their cells divide at a faster rate than adults. They also consume more milk, which puts them at greater risk.

Update: we are truly amazed that presenting what is a pure fact without any spin associated to it, can generate such an outbreak of insecurity and outright fear-driven responses. We had always expected that readers here can receive and interpret facts as presented, instead of demanding filtering for what some deem is unpleasant information. We urge that sub-segment to immediately and permanently orient their attention to other media outlets that does the prefiltering for them, as per the government’s mandate of not spreading panic.

Radioactive Xenon 133 (5.243 day half life) has now reached the entire Eastern seaboard, and soon will likely cover the entire world.

Fox News Contrives “Human Shield” Hoax To Sell Libya War

“Exclusive” story about Gaddafi using western journalists as human shields is “nuts, “outrageous,” “ridiculous,” and “absolutely hypocritical,” states CNN reporter involved in tour

Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Just as Bill Clinton’s bombardment of Serbia was launched on the back of a humanitarian hoax about fake concentration camps, establishment media outlets are already busy contriving phony stories about Gaddafi using “human shields” to convince the American people that the $100 million dollar a day attack on Libya is virtuous and noble.

The latest example comes from Fox News, who completely manufactured the claim that Gaddafi was using  western journalists as human shields to prevent fighter jets from bombing his compound.

When the U.S. government prepares to throw another $1 billion-plus at a new war even as Americans see their living standards eviscerated and record numbers are forced on food stamps, the propaganda necessary to sell the conquest has to be slicker than ever before.

With many starting to question the credibility of evidence that Gaddafi is abusing his own people, as so-called “protesters,” backed by US arms from Egypt, commandeer fighter jets and tanks in their bid to overthrow the government, the demonization of Gaddafi as a monster who needs to be toppled for the security of the region is imperative.

That’s why Fox News completely manufactured a claim about Gaddafi using journalists as human shields to prevent his compound from being bombed and ran it as an exclusive story yesterday.

In a piece entitled, EXCLUSIVE: Libyans Use Journalists as Human Shields, Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin & Justin Fishel wrote, “An attack on the compound of Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi on Sunday had to be curtailed because of journalists nearby, Fox News has learned.”

“British sources confirmed that seven Storm Shadow missiles were ready to be fired from a British aircraft, but the strikes had to be curtailed due to crews from CNN, Reuters and other organizations nearby. Officials from Libya’s Ministry of Information brought those journalists to the area to show them damage from the initial attack and to effectively use them as human shields.”

But there’s a problem, one of the CNN journalists supposedly used by Gaddafi as a human shield subsequently appeared on CNN and labeled the claim, “Outrageous and absolutely hypocritical.”

“The idea that we were some kind of human shields is nuts,” CNN international correspondent Nic Robertson told Wolf Blitzer, adding that the 40 journalists on the tour of Libyan government buildings were free to get on and off the bus whenever they wanted.

Robertson pointed out that Fox News didn’t even send a journalist on the trip, instead dispatching a security guard, adding that the Fox News journalists in the country rarely ever leave the hotel.

“To say they didn’t go and for them to say this was government propaganda to hold us there as human shields when they didn’t even leave the hotel is ridiculous,” stated Robertson, adding that the journalists were even physically pushed back on the bus because Gaddafi’s officials wanted to get them out of harm’s way as quickly as possible.

“When you come to somewhere like Libya, you expect lies and deceit from the dictatorship here. You don’t expect it from the other journalists,” said Robertson, adding, “If I sound angry it’s because I am.”

Had it not been exposed by the commendable Robertson, the benefits of this hoax would have been twofold – on one hand, Gaddafi is made to look like a careless savage who has no concern for human life, and particularly western journalists, using them as sacrificial lambs for his own propaganda purposes. Secondly, it gives the “humanitarian” hoax behind the attack some legitimacy, suggesting that British and American bombers really do care about protecting civilians lives.

Fox News has proven itself to be a complete tool of the US military-industrial complex. Nothing it now reports about the attack on Libya can ever be trusted.

The establishment media is no stranger to inventing phony human rights atrocities in order to promote and legitimize wars.

President Bill Clinton’s depleted uranium holocaust in Serbia, the consequences of which led to thousands of cancer deaths, was manufactured for mass consumption by the helpful establishment media in a glossy package of deception based on a similar “humanitarian” hoax.

Clinton’s war was launched on the back of a fabricated controversy involving a Serbian relief camp that housed Bosnian refugees, which the media spun into being a Nazi-style “concentration camp” in which emaciated Bosnians were being imprisoned against their will.

The footage broadcast by the global media was contrived so as to make it look as if the Bosnians were inside a barbed-wire enclosure, when in fact it was the British TV news crew who were inside the enclosure and who were filming through the barbed-wire to the outside, where Bosnians had gathered. The “emaciated concentration camp victim” was in fact a man with a natural birth defect.

Publications like Time Magazine ran the hoax alongside headlines like Must It Go On?, and the public was told that air strikes were imperative to protect the civilian population. The subsequent NATO-led attacks on the country, aided by Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, with depleted uranium weapons caused civilian deaths and crippling long term health effects that dwarfed anything Slobodan Miloševic was accused of.

Japan’s Nuclear Crisis Debacle and the Depopulation Agenda

In News & Analysis on March 22, 2011 at 4:14 pm

Ethan Jacobs, J.D.

Is it possible that the radiation released from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is intended to sicken and harm the populations of Japan, Hawaii and the United States?   There is evidence that suggests that the disaster fits neatly into the globalists’ well-documented plan to significantly reduce the world’s population.

The Fukushima Nuclear Crisis

After experiencing a devastating earthquake, resulting tsunami and leaking nuclear reactors, the Japanese government’s priority is not in saving lives and rebuilding Japan’s infrastructure, but rather saving a financial asset of Tokyo Electric Power Company (the nuclear facility) at the expense of the health and safety of the entire Northern Hemisphere.  It has been over a week since Fukushima Reactor 3 exploded releasing deadly radiation. Reactor 4 is known to be leaking as well.  Nonetheless, the Japanese government still has not covered the reactors with concrete and sand to stop the radiation leak, as was eventually done at Chernobyl.   The leaking reactors could have been covered and sealed in a matter of days if not hours using aircraft to drop tons of sand and concrete around the clock.  Instead, Japan continues the risky venting of radioactive gas to relieve a new spike in pressure in its troubled nuclear reactors.

While the initial damage to the nuclear plant could be attributed to the Tsunami that devastated Japan (a natural event assuming that HAARP or other technology was not involved), the lack of government action to protect the public demonstrates extreme incompetence of Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, if not malice.

Contrary to government propaganda distributed by the mainstream media, there is no safe dose of radiation.  Dr. Chris Busby, Scientific Secretary of the European Committee on Radiation Risk, states that the leaked radiation from Fukushima will have a negative health impact on the people of Japan and the United States.  After days of delay, “Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted that the disaster was a level 5, which is classified as a crisis causing ‘several radiation deaths’ by the UN International Atomic Energy.”  As Paul Joseph Watson writes, governments have a history of deceiving the public in times of crises:

The same people telling us that the levels are miniscule and the radiation ‘harmless,’ are from the same organizations who assured us that the Chernobyl disaster only killed 9,000 people, when in reality it exposed 550 million Europeans, and 150 to 230 million others in the Northern Hemisphere to notable contamination and led to nearly a million deaths.

Japan is already facing a food safety crisis due to the radioactive fallout.  “Tests found levels of radioactive iodine up to seven times the legal limit in samples of raw milk, spinach and two leaf vegetables as far away from the nuclear plant as Chiba prefecture, to the east of Tokyo.”  California and the Unites States may face a similar problem as the jet stream has already carried the toxic radiation from Japan across the Pacific Ocean.

This prolonged nuclear crisis at Fukushima may be tied to the depopulation agenda laid-out in Ecoscience, co-authored by Obama’s top science and technology advisor, John P. Holdren, in which he advocated the formation of a “planetary regime” that would use a “global police force” to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children.

The Globalist depopulation agenda has a history of using radiation against populations in lands with natural resources to be conquered.  In her Global Research article entitled From Hiroshima to Iraq, 61 years of Uranium Wars, world renowned geoscientist, Leuren Moret, writes:

The conduct of secret nuclear wars since 1991, through the use of depleted uranium weaponry by the United States and Great Britain with their allies, has taken place in the Middle East, the former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan2 and Lebanon.3 It has been carried out for the express purpose of destroying the public health and mutilating the genetic future of vast populations in oil rich and/or pipeline regions.

Carpet and grid bombing with depleted uranium weaponry in Iraq, Yugoslavia and Afghanistan has guaranteed permanent radioactive terrain contamination. The recent discovery that U.S. depleted uranium bombs dropped by Israel on Lebanon in 2006 contained enriched uranium4, 5 suggests covert testing of fourth generation nuclear weapons.

Perhaps the uncapped leaking Fukushima reactors are being used to reduce the population of Japan, the United States, and Europe, in a manner that allows for plausible deniability.

A few years from now people in the Northern Hemisphere will likely experience increased rates of cancer, birth defects, and other health issues triggered by the Fukushima radiation release.  Most people will not connect the dots as to the cause of their suffering; and, even if they do, will have trouble proving the link and obtaining compensation for their injuries.

Prime Minister Kan and Barack Obama have once again revealed themselves as powerless puppets of the global elite.  Rather that bury the Fukushima plant a half mile deep in sand and concrete to protect the public, they allow toxic radiation to continue leaking which could possibly cause millions of injuries and a contaminated food supply.   Who cares if millions of lives are endangered and the workers trying to stop the Fukushima meltdown sign their own death certificates?  The important thing is that the reactors are eventually saved and restored to generate further profits for Tokyo Electric Power Company.  Business as usual in the New World Order.

The people of Japan and all those affected must hold their government officials, and their global elite handlers, accountable for failing to seal the reactors.
